Background Summary

Currently, users can only view a limited product description on our company catalog page.

We want to provide users with the option to access more information on these exclusive gift products by creating a "Learn More" button, which dynamically appears when the "Exclusive Gift" checkbox is selected, and is hyperlinked to the Box+Bestow website.

User Need/Problem

Company Admins browsing the Gift Catalog page have no way of learn more about the exclusive gift products. Presently, there is no easy way to access the richer descriptions provided by Box+Bestow, which may lead to fewer sales of these products.

Solution

To address this need, we will implement the following features:

Learn More Button: Add a "Learn More" button to each product on the company catalog page. The button should be visually consistent with the rest of the website design (button.btn.bg-primary) and placed in each row of the gift catalog, to the left of the “Status” column.

Required Hyperlink Property: When creating a product with the "Exclusive Gift" checkbox selected, a property to create the hyperlink dynamically appears, and should be required to create the “Exclusive Gift” product. This hyper link property does not appear on normal products & kits.

Hyperlink Functionality: The "Learn More" button will be hyperlinked to the URL, opening the link in a new browser tab.

Property Requirements: This should be a text property with no character requirements.

Post Mortem (Internal)

After implementing the "Learn More" button with hyperlink functionality, we will:

Monitor Usage: Track the number of users clicking the "Learn More" button and analyze any changes in exclusive gift product sales via URL parameters added at the end of each link.

Gather Feedback: Collect feedback from users regarding the new feature and its usefulness, as well as any suggestions for improvement.

Optimize: Based on the feedback and usage data, optimize the feature by addressing any identified issues or incorporating improvements.

Evaluate Success: Review the impact of the "Learn More" button on exclusive gift product sales, user satisfaction, and overall user experience.
